Description: The way leaders talk about individuals with disabilities has direct impact on policies and practices across American history. The purpose of this project is to continuously map how individuals with disabilities are discussed by political leaders in the United States from January 1, 2025 onward and to study the associations between varied discourse and future policies and practices that impact people with disabilities. Disclosure. Disability Discourse Matters is an independent initiative of the Education Collaboratory at Yale University. This study was approved by the Yale University Institutional Review Board (IRES 2000039786) and was pre-registered on Open Science Framework.
