Description: Aims: Participatory research on vulvodynia is lacking with the views of people who live with vulvodynia, as well as of the healthcare practitioners involved in their care, not being involved in research development and research processes. The current project aims to identify and reach consensus on the top research priorities for vulvodynia among different groups of stakeholders in order to shape the future research on vulvodynia to efficiently target issues of utmost importance, as well as aid in the development of policy and grassroots initiatives. Objectives: The objectives of this research are to: (1) review the nature and extent of existing research on vulvodynia; (2) generate a set of topics and questions in collaboration with key stakeholders (i.e., people with vulvodynia, healthcare practitioners, health researchers, and support organisations) that reflect their priorities for future research; (3) to reach consensus on research priorities for vulvodynia.
