Wiki Version:
Apnoea-Hypopnoea indices (AHI) are calculated in at least two different ways: (1) via feedback from continuous positive airway pressure devices (AHI-CPAPflow) and (2) via the goldstandard, i.e. polysomnography data (AHI-PSGgold). The latter two estimates are frequently used interchangeably despite a lack of evidence supporting AHI-CPAPflow as an accurate surrogate for AHI-PSGgold. The purpose of this project is to perform a meta-analysis investigating the accuracy of AHI-CPAPflow compared to its gold standard (AHI-PSGgold).
