The MIST database contains 336 sets of stimuli consisting of pairs of metaphorical and literal sentences which were controlled for psycholinguistic and affective influence factors. The metaphors' target domains are internal states, i.e. emotions, cognitive processes, evaluations, etc. The MIST database provides a collection of controlled stimuli for the purpose of empirical research on the comprehension and processing of figurative internal state language. Please visit the project's website to download the complete database: https://www.uni-marburg.de/de/fb09/igs/arbeitsgruppen/klinische-linguistik/forschung/projekte/mist_database
The database was created within the project "Looking through rose-colored glasses: neural processing of figurative and literal expressions for internal states"
