Wiki Version:
This page hosts the material for the Publication: "The Universal and Automatic Association Between Brightness and Positivity" by Eva Specker, Helmut Leder, Raphael Rosenberg, Lisa Mira Hegelmaier, Hanna Brinkmann, Jan Mikuni & Hideaki Kawabata published in Acta Psychologica, DOI:10.1016/j.actpsy.2018.04.007. On this page we provide the experimental scripts and the stimuli we used. These can be found in the "Experimental Scripts" folder and the "Image" folder. Additionally, we provide the SPSS syntax for our analyses, in the "analyses" folder. This folder has one syntax file for each study plus files for extra analyses we did. This compromises of one syntax file where we compared Japan with Austria as well as an annotated R file where we excluded specific trials from our analysis as described in our manuscript. Unfortunately, we did not obtain the consent of our participants to share the data publicly. However, if you are interested we are happy to share the data with you. If you have any questions or remarks please contact Eva Specker at eva.specker@unvie.ac.at
