Wiki Version:
## Overview This project page provides the data and code for: Xu, Z., Adam, K.C.S., Fang, X., & Vogel, E. K. (2018) The reliability and stability of visual working memory capacity. *Behavior Research Methods* (50), 576-588. A copy of the paper can be found [here][1]. **Data citation:** See citation list in the top-right corner of the main project page. **Usage:** This OSF project contains the data and analysis scripts for all experiments in our paper. If you would like to use the data in published work, please cite both the paper and OSF data set. We would also be excited and interested to hear about projects you're working on with our data! Get in touch at kadam1@uchicago.edu We analyzed the data in [MATLAB][2]. To run the analysis scripts and psychtoolbox code, you will need access to MATLAB. Unfortunately, MATLAB requires a paid license. An open-source alternative to Matlab is [GNU Octave][4]. This open source alternative should work fine to load .mat files, but keep in mind that code has not been tested for compatibility with Octave. We have also included some CSV files of key variables to facilitate more flexible, cross-platform analysis. For any further questions or comments, don't hesitate to email me: kadam1@uchicago.edu ## Status Last checked on status in June 2018. All of the task code, individual files, and aggregate data files have been posted. Please be in touch if you notice that anything is missing or not working (e.g. support functions). ## Overview of the Components Each main folder ("component") contains sub-folders. Please refer to additional README files within each component for more information on the organization of each component. * **Data: Experiment 1**: Individual (.csv, .mat) and aggregate data files for experiment 1. * **Data: Experiment 2**: Individual (.csv, .mat) and aggregate data files for experiment 2. * **Task Code**: Psychtoolbox code used to run each experiment. * **Analysis Code: Experiment 1**: Matlab code used to analyze experiment 1. * **Analysis Code: Experiment 2**: Matlab code used to analyze experiment 2.
