Description: The proposed project aims to inform discussions about how criminal justice laws passed at the state level are executed at the local level through enforcement decisions, especially in the context of lower-level offenses. The project will use unique data containing all arrests in California between 1980 and 2016 to examine arrest trends and differences across jurisdictions.
