Wiki Version:
In the period from 30 March to 7 July 2017, a unique project took place in Paramaribo, Suriname: the implementation of the **Strong Minds Suriname program**. This is a program to promote employee resilience. Unique, because it is the first time that a large-scale psychological intervention has taken place in Suriname. During the aforementioned period, 158 employees of the InterMed group, the Surinamese Postspaarbank and Multi Electrical System participated in the program, which took place during 29 training days. In addition, two trainer-the-trainer meetings were conducted, in which nine employees of the participating companies were taught the knowledge and skills to guide the employees in the implementation of the exercises in the program. The training period was preceded by five focus group meetings with stakeholders in the project, including the human resource managers of all participating companies and a number of Surinamese psychologists. They have contributed to the cultural adaptation of the training.
