Description: The Upstanding for Promotion-Prevention (UPP) project involves the development of an UPP model, the UPP program, empirical testing on the UPP model, and a program evaluation on the UPP program. This line of research inquiry aims to advance the prevention-oriented bystander intervention field by including promotion as a mindset (promotion orientation), an opportunity (promotion bystander opportunity), a scope of intervention (promotion science), and set of prosocial bystander behaviors (promotive prosocial bystander behavior). We detail an integrated upstanding for promotion-prevention (UPP) model and program.
