Description: This scoping review seeks to consolidate, using available literature, what is known about the retinal age gap, as per the previously defined definition. It aims to collate studies published on the retinal age gap, identify what is known about the retinal age gap and its neuropsychiatric associations, and identify any gaps for further research. Specifically, the review question is: What is currently known about the retinal age gap? Sub-questions include: Are there known associations of the retinal age gap with mental and/or neurological disorders? If so, what are the associations? What are gaps for future research?
