Wiki Version:
In the rapidly evolving landscape of artificial intelligence, fostering ethical AI literacy is essential in higher education. This session presents a modular AI literacy course designed to help libraries address AI’s ethical risks and responsibilities in research and teaching. Featuring self-paced modules, curated resources, and practical applications, the course provides a structured approach to integrating foundational AI concepts, ethical considerations, and responsible AI practices. A key component of this project is an annotated bibliography on Zotero, which curates essential literature on AI’s ethical role in research and teaching. This resource underpins the course and serves as a foundation for libraries engaging with this emerging field. Attendees will gain insights into the course design, collaborative strategies, and future plans for expansion as an Open Educational Resource (OER), reinforcing libraries’ role in navigating AI’s ethical complexities.
