Wiki Version:
**CANAL Lab Manual** ====================== ---------- Welcome to the Cognition and Neuroscience of Aging Lab (aka CANAL Lab)! This wiki provides instructions for how our lab operates. --- *I am grateful to Buddhika Bellana for allowing me to use his OSF site and manual as a template for the CANAL lab. The early version of this site uses much of his wording and organization, but as noted below, this is a **living document**, and over time these sites will diverge.* --- This is a **living document**. Science is constantly evolving. As resources develop and our shared knowledge grows, this document should be updated as well. As members of the lab, it is **our responsibility** to keep this document up-to-date. By doing so, we make sure that our work is **well-documented** and **easily communicated**. Science is all about building up from existing foundations. It's a [slow](http://slow-science.org/slow-science-manifesto.pdf) and [painstaking](https://theconversation.com/how-slow-science-can-improve-the-way-we-do-and-interpret-research-90168) process. But, the better we document our *current work*, the more likely it will be able to serve as a useful foundation for research for *years to come*. **You**, as a lab member, are welcome to **edit this Wiki**. Make it a priority to add helpful resources, document standard procedures and update existing content. Just remember to scroll down and click 'Save' to keep your changes. ---------- Parts of this lab manual have been inspired by/stolen from other lab manuals.
