Wiki Version:
The [manuscript revision history][1] for this paper illustrates the revisions that occurred trying to get this published. The first version was submitted in January 2014 to Journal of Personality and Social Psychology. The second version was resubmitted to JPSP in June 2014. The third version was resubmitted to JPSP in December 2014. The Editor asked for an additional revision in May 2015 to which I responded that a decision should be made, so he rejected the paper. The fourth version is very similar to that third revision and was submitted to JEP: General in May 2015. It was accepted without revision: Nosek, B. A. (2005).
