**
Workshop: 2019-10-25
** **Event Link**: https://libcal.countway.harvard.edu/calendar/countway/protocolsio Using up-to-date research methods is essential for researchers. However, advancing research methods is often not rewarded though it is a demanding process. protocols.io is an open science platform for sharing and discovering up-to-date research methods. Publishing the methods from research manuscripts helps to increase the reproducibility of the published research, and reduce the common but unhelpful “contact author for details” or “we used a slightly modified version of the protocol reported in paper XYZ”. Come learn about protocols.io, and see how your colleagues at Harvard are already using it. **Part 1: Getting Started with protocols.io -- *a hands-on workshop***
Lenny Teytelman, PhD, CEO and Cofounder, protocols.io **Part 2: Refining CycIF Protocols -- *a HiTS use case***
Connor Jacobson, Research Assistant, Harvard Program for Therapeutics Sciences (HiTS), Harvard Medical School **Instructors**:
Lenny Teytelman, PhD, CEO and Cofounder, protocols.io
Connor Jacobson, Research Assistant, Harvard Program for Therapeutics Sciences (HiTS), Harvard Medical School
**
Workshop Materials
** **Teytelman Slides**: https://osf.io/eh3r7/ **Refining CycIF Protocols Slides**: https://osf.io/cs24y/
