Wiki Version:
Overall, we were unable to demonstrate that genetic relatedness alters punishment. A mother who endangers her child is held equally acocuntable if she is that child's genetic or adoptive mother. In an exploratory analysis, we did find evidence that female participants punished the mother harsher than male participants. WHether this is true finding or a chance occurance may be the focus of future research.
