Description: Critical minerals are essential for the energy transition and play a crucial role in renewable energy. However, many members of the public lack understanding of what critical minerals are and how they are used in this transition. The goal of this study is to understand perceptions and awareness of critical minerals among the public, by looking at criticality perceptions, perception of mineral importance in clean energy technologies, and broader energy transition goals, as well as the extent of agreement/disagreement in using a variety of mineral strategies to facilitate the energy transition. Overall, we aim to explore the public's views on critical minerals and their role in the energy transition.
