Wiki Version:
These pages (alphabetically ordered) describe how photos are taken for each type of photo (macro and microscopes). All photos are "sent to" from windows as a "medium size" and then uploaded to each species/photo type folder. This ensures we have as many photos of as many specimen views/structures as possible. Microscope photos taken with the Toup view software are saved with the date and time (default) followed by the specimen number, and optionally the species or other notes. Example: number specimennumber phototype (DISSECTING/COMPOUND/CHEM) brief notes Genus .jpg Example: 0009 20200102-MAC-01 DISSECTING lower cortex Dermatocarpon americanum.jpg Updated drivers for ToupView software here: http://www.microscopenet.com/Drivers/ Potential alternative open-source software (looking for one that has calibration and stacking functionality on Ubuntu) [YouScope][1] [Micro-Manager][2] [1]: https://currentprotocols.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1002/0471142727.mb1421s98 [2]: https://micro-manager.org/wiki/Micro-Manager
