# Introduction to Linux I UNIX/Linux is a robust family of operating systems that has become the de facto standard in researching computing. The goal of this workshop will be to provide newcomers with a general overview of the Linux environment and the Bash shell, an introduction to frequently used commands and tools, as well as a brief introduction on accessing high-performance computing resources at the University and beyond. No prior experience with Linux is required. October 2017
