Description: The Negative Effects Questionnaire (NEQ) Project Main Developers and Curators: Alexander Rozental & Per Carlbring Welcome to the project page for the Negative Effects Questionnaire (NEQ). The NEQ is a validated instrument designed to assess the negative effects that may arise during psychological treatments. This tool is essential for researchers and clinicians aiming to monitor and understand adverse and unwanted events in therapeutic settings. Available Resources: The questionnaire is available in two lengths: 32 items and 20 items. Both versions have been psychometrically tested to ensure reliability and validity. Translations: The NEQ is available in multiple languages, and we encourage the development of new translations. If you wish to translate the NEQ into a new language, please contact us to ensure the accuracy and consistency of the translation. Scoring Tools: An Excel file is available to assist with scoring the NEQ, making it easier for practitioners and researchers to analyze the results. Please read the information in the Read me first-tab for further details. Usage and Permissions: The NEQ is free to use under the Creative Commons license. There is no need to seek permission to use the scale free of charge. However, for new translations, please reach out to us for guidance. Contact: For questions or to discuss translations, please contact: Per Carlbring: per@carlbring.se Alexander Rozental: alexander.rozental@ltu.se We are committed to supporting the community in effectively utilizing the NEQ and enhancing the understanding of negative effects in psychological treatments.
