Description: This project demonstrates one way the OSF can be used for a complex collaborative project involving multiple groups and tools. The study for this project is conducted at three different sites that could represent a range of collaborations including multiple populations being observed, multiple labs following the same protocol in parallel, or variations of the same protocol being run by different teams. Each site has a separate component under "Study" where all material related to that location can be kept. Materials relevant across sites and those that relate to project administration are organized at the top level of the project. At both the top level and within the component for each site different kinds of information are segregated into additional components. Because permissions are set at the component level, this kind of compartmentalization enables the project leads to allow other team members access to only the areas they need for their roles. This can simplify IRB compliance, allow Administrative staff access to expense details, Funder access to grant reports, or enable blinding of researcher views between the different sites.
