Description: This project is a collection of manually curated lists of characters that occur in literary works (including a mapping to the different variations of their names as they occur in the texts). These files are ready to be used for natural language processing as in the SATIS tool for example (demo: https://stia.shinyapps.io/tlit/). This tool facilitates analysis of the emergence and evolution of characters in English literature using network and information theory. Further reading on the network analysis approach: Luczak-Roesch, M., Grener, A. and Fenton, E., 2018.
