This is the data repository for the study: Human motor cortical beta bursts relate to movement planning and response errors Simon Little, James Bonaiuto, Gareth Barnes, Sven Bestmann The data contains the cue-locked, response-locked and behavioural data for each subject/run that was used in our published analysis. Data is provided in two formats. 1. Firstly raw MEG data files (SPM format), locked to the motor response (SubXRunXresplock_meg.mat) and to the imperative cue (SubXRunXcuelock_meg.mat). These are accompanied by Subject specific MRIs and extracted grey matter cortical meshes (post freesurfer extraction). Fiducial locations per subject are presented in the attached Fiducial_Positions.xlsx file. This is the complete dataset and would allow for analysis from the start of the pipeline. 2. In addition - there is post processed data available (following EBB source inversion) from the virtual electrode at M1 contralateral to movement for all subject/run/trials. In these files are also the behavioural results (RT variable). This allows for analyses specifically on the bursts. Note RT variable: First column = response accuracy (correct 1; incorrect 0). Second column = response time (seconds) Trial conditions (congruence / coherence) are stored in the main spm file. To access these - load the file as: D=spm_eeg_load The trial conditions can then be found at: D.conditions The pre-processed files (and anatomical information) can be used to generate all the results (although that is more complex) and so should be generally used as a starting point for all sensor space and source space (but spatially distributed) analyses including Fig 6, S1 Fig, S3 Fig, S1 Video, S2 Video). The post-processed files are used to extract the behavioural results (Fig 1B) and also the individual subject results (Fig 2) and M1 specific burst analyses (Fig 3,4,5,7,8 and S2 Fig, S4 Fig).
