Category: Hypothesis

Description: Simple simulation to demonstrate how adapting neurons with small vs large receptive fields affects the population aggregate pRF measured for a voxel. Note this is a deliberately extreme version to illustrate the effect. To respond to a point raised by Reviewer #2 we also show a more subtle simulation (as schematically showing in Figure 1 of our study). This of course shows the same effect - it is less obvious in visual inspection but closer to the observed results.
