This repository contains the data, code, stimuli, and surveys associated with Bruns, A., Pombo, M., Ripollés, P., & Pelli, D. G. (submitted). Emotions of subject and object affect beauty differently for images and music. Data: - Raw data downloaded from the 4 Qualtrics surveys used in the study - Cleaned dataset (output from data wrangling file in "Code" folder) - A codebook with variable names and descriptions Code: - R script for data wrangling - R script for data analysis and visualization - R script for Supplementary Materials data analysis - CSV that links stimulus IDs and names Stimuli: - 12 art images taken from various Internet sources - 12 nature photos taken from Unsplash (https://unsplash.com/) - 24 20-second song clips taken from Spotify (https://open.spotify.com/) - 24 2-second song clips (shortened versions of the 20-second song clips) - A spreadsheet listing all stimulus names and sources Surveys: - Main study including 20-second images and 20-second songs - Main study including 20-second images and 2-second songs - Main study including 2-second images and 20-second songs - Main study including 2-second images and 2-second songs - Mood induction video pilot survey
