Description: The supplementary materials provide the observer ratings for each of the encoder videos (table S1). Furthermore, to analyse the encoder’s subjective affect, a supplementary 3 (time phase; 1: neutral, 2: pre-sadness, 3: sadness), x 2 (tearing; 1: weeper, 2: non-weeper) ANOVA was conducted on negative affect, positive affect, arousal, genuineness, and each of the categorical emotion ratings (table S2).
