Wiki Version:
This data set describes the data used in the publication: "Interactions between conscious and subconscious signals: Selective attention under feature-based competition increases neural selectivity during brain adaptation " These are 2 .xlsx files with 4 sheets each, each file describes the data for separate experiments. Sheets 1 and 3 in each file describe behavioural data, whist sheets 2 and 4 describe functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI) data. Each row is the data from an individual participant, whilst columns describe the experimental conditions. During Experiment 1 (file 1) participants viewed (or listened to) faces and voices whilst attending to the stimulus identity or spatial position whilst these were varied. During Experiment 2 (file 2) participants listened to voices whilst attending to the stimulus identity or loudness whilst these were varied. Behavioural data are the participant performances in discriminating pairs of stimuli, whilst fMRI data are average parameter estimates from regions of interest within face or voice selective cortex.
