Description: Two Middlebury College students attempted to reproduce the least cost surface used in this study using R rather than QGIS Graphic Modeling. They suceeded in reproducing the same results with minor differences caused by the rasterization method. Future researchers could try adding the 'all-touched' option to the rasterization algorithm to reproduce more identical results.
