Wiki Version:
This research project measured the hydrogen solubility of Kukersite shale oil samples using a continuous flow apparatus in the Chemical Engineering research group at Aalto University. Two samples were measured: a shale fuel oil and a dephenolated shale fuel oil. The dephenolated sample was created by removing some of the polar phenolic compounds via extraction with a 10% NaOH solution. The measured solubilities and infrared spectra are given here. A file containing the literature data for fuels found during the literature review has also been placed on this page.
