The sdgm package is used to teach the intro to machine learning course. This is a course for epidemiology and medical students (i.e., not computer scientists), and is focused on good modeling practices and interpretation of the results. We are making it available to the community as it may be useful to other labs and research groups. We also use the package to run experiments on different approaches to modeling. If you have suggestions for improvements please let us know so that this can be a useful resource to the community. The attached document has some background information and details about how to download the package and install it. It is best to install directly from the *cloudsmith.io* repository however the package is also here (and new versions will be added as we go along). There are many dependencies so if you install manually there will be many steps.
