Wiki Version:
## README ## This wiki describes and documents this OSF archive. ## Copies of the Scale for Research Use ## Interested in using the Revised Aesthetic Fluency Scale? The folder "Scale Versions for Research Use" in the "Files" contains research-ready copies in both Word and Qualtrics format. These files contain both the long form (36 items) and the short form (10 items), a few notes for researchers who use them, and the full instructions and response scale for participants. We invite researchers, students, and applied users to use these scales. ***You do not need our permission to use these scales for non-commercial purposes.*** Translations into other languages are particularly welcomed. ## Shiny App for Coding Your Raw Data ## Looking for a convenient way to code your data? If you're not an R user, you can try our Shiny app for coding the aesthetic fluency items. Just drop your item data for the 36 items into the Shiny app and get several summaries of the items (e.g., sum scores and IRT model-based trait scores), several metrics of reliability, and a few other fun things. https://alexander-christensen.shinyapps.io/rafs_app/ ## Raw Data and R Files ## Interested in exploring the data or the R code? The "Data and Analysis Files" component contains the R code and CSV data files that were used the generate the figures and analyses in the article. See that component's Wiki for details. The data posted on this archive are "donated" to the academic community. You are welcome to use the data for non-commercial purposes, including reanalyzing and reusing the data for new publications of your own. (We would appreciate copies of any publications that result from these data files.) ## Early Item Pool and Item Development ## Interested in the process of winnowing the initial item pool into the final scale? The component "Initial Item Pool and Item Selection" contains a Word file with the full initial pool along with sortable HTML tables that show the item pool at the major filtering points. See that component's Wiki for details.
