Includes also tables and figures mentioned but not included in the main manuscript. * Merge57+PABvariables050521.dta: Stata file with the 2019 Comparative National Election project merged dataset. * V-Dem_CNEP_ElecYrs_421.dta: Stata file with V-Dem v2xregime data. * Analysis_extremism_polarization.do: Stata .do file creating all main independent and dependent variables and producing all OLS analyses and tables. * Extremism_polarization_GAM.R: R script performing GAM analyses and plots.
