Wiki Version:
This is a toolkit of data management best practices, broken up by discipline where able. This is a living site, with the intention that additional discipline-specific documents will be added over time. Additional JMU-specific information is available at [guides.lib.jmu.edu/data][1] Christie Bahlai's excellent blog is a great resource. [This post][2] on teaching data management and the many pitfalls associated with spreadsheet data is especially useful. Another great general resource is [this video][3] from NYU's Health Science Library. Also useful is [DataONE's Best Practices page][4]. While environmental science-based, DataONE's compilation of best practices are discipline agnostic.
