Description: This dataset contains functional, cognitive, biochemical, and anthropometric data collected during a 10-week randomized, triple-blind, placebo-controlled clinical trial evaluating the effects of two dietary nucleotide formulations in physically independent older adults. The dataset includes pre- and post-intervention values for physical performance (e.g., Timed Up and Go Test, 6-Minute Walk Test, isokinetic strength), cognitive function (Trail Making Test A and B), body composition (DXA-derived fat and muscle mass), health-related quality-of-life dimensions (SF-36), and blood-based biomarkers of neurogenesis (BDNF), oxidative stress (F2-isoprostanes, GPx1), and inflammation (IL-6, TNF-α). The aim of the study was to assess how nucleotide supplementation, combined with spontaneous physical activity, influences neuromuscular and cognitive health, inflammatory status, and body composition in older adults.
