The Akrotiri Bioblitz, Cyprus (ABC) was a one-off event held as part of the [Alien-CSI COST Action][2]. It took place for 24 hours between Wednesday, February 27 and Thursday, February 28, 2019. ![Alien-CSI logo][1] We aimed to improve knowledge of the biodiversity of the Akrotiri Peninsula, identify potential risks to the biodiversity caused by invasive species and trial methods that could be used throughout Europe for this purpose. These pages give you information about the event, such as the [Code of Conduct][3], [Data Management Plan][4] and [Health and Safety Information][5]. Mission statement ----------------- - What is it? A period of biological surveying in an attempt to record all the living species within a designated area. Groups of scientists, naturalists and volunteers conduct a field study over a continuous time period - Who can be involved?
