Wiki Version:
OSFI New Member Orientation This orientation session was held on 29 May 2024 for members of new OSF Institutions or new staff at existing institutions. In this project you can find the video, audio-only, transcript, chat transcript, and slides. Two questions were asked during the session that were not answered: 1. If a user gives a project a DOI and then deletes the project, do we update the record at DataCite?
**Answer:** At this time, we do not update the record held at Datacite. The DOI will lead to an error page. This is on the list of issues to be addressed in the future.
2. Is there any way to add funder information if the funder is not listed with the Open Funder Registry?
**Answer:** Unfortunately, OSF requires funders to have an identifier from the registry. Anyone can request that a funder be added to the list however, which gets updated every 4-6 weeks. Requests can be send to funder.registry@crossref.org @[osf](yxv74) [Transcript][1] [Chat text][2] [Audio-only][3] [Powerpoint Slides][4] | [PDF slides][5] [1]: https://osf.io/sbx6w [2]: https://osf.io/yx6v3 [3]: https://osf.io/m7ehvf [4]: https://osf.io/63ub9 [5]: https://osf.io/6q5kt
