Wiki Version:
This OSF project attempts to estimate the causal effect of data-sharing on citations, as in the paper "Does Data Sharing Increase Citations?" by Garret Christensen, Allan Dafoe, Edward Miguel, Don A. Moore, and Andrew K. Rose. This project was created by Christensen, Dafoe, and Miguel, and contains materials for their portion of the paper. Moore and Rose's materials are available at https://osf.io/pxdch/. To replicate the second portion (looking at the *American Economic Review* and *American Journal of Political Science* policy changes in detail), download the replication .zip file, and run Main.do in Stata after setting the directory. Gory details of the laborious data collection by numerous RAs (to whom we are very grateful) are in the GitHub repository, which is linked below.
