Description: Body odors are potent triggers of disgust in humans and regulate social behaviors in many species. Feelings of disgust towards other people are related to so-called right-wing authoritarian attitudes that include aggressively endorsing the preservation of social order. However, the relationship between body odors disgust sensitivity (BODS) and right-wing authoritarianism has been scarcely investigated. In three studies, we investigated whether individual differences in BODS would predict right-wing authoritarianism (Study 1-2) and voting for Donald Trump Study 3).
