Description: This study aimed to investigate memory for texts in L1 and L2 both congruent and cross-lingual conditions, using several test types. The idea behind this was to test the factors that might be involved in a previously observed discrepancy between an L2 disadvantage for recall and equal performance in L1 and L2 for recognition. The current study shows diverse results, indicating that the effect (size) depends on several factors and that both the encoding and reproduction processes are sometimes impaired in L2. This directory contains the materials, datasets, and some detailed test statistics to which the manuscript refers.
