Wiki Version:
This hackathon at APS2019 DC aimed to summarize questions, resources, benefits, and challenges when reviewing papers from an open science perspective. For example, should I sign my reviews? What are potential benefits and downsides? Should I ask authors for code and data, and if so, how do I best do that? Is there a catalogue of other questions that I should keep in mind when reviewing We ended up with two products: (1) A general resource list: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1j5UCaujuro5mUaMvTlACDlCNelRl9hDKCKEVytwRUyo/edit (2) A detailed plan to set up a website to facilitate reviews from an open science perspective: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1GPrXJG3RWK69jRXVUFe3nJMmfWFS0NnSVMDLNeeJF6s/edit#heading=h.19zy8s28lury
