Description: Coordination of communicative behavior supports shared understanding in conversation. The current study brings together analysis of two speech coordination strategies, entrainment and compensation of articulatory behavior, in a preliminary investigation into whether the presence of a communication disorder regulates the organization of coordinative behavior. As an initial clinical test case, articulatory behavior was analyzed in a corpus of confederate-elicited spoken dialogues with traumatic brain injury (TBI) and non-brain-injury (NBI) participants, with primary research questions targeting the coordinative behaviors of the confederate in these conversations.
