Wiki Version:
Across three studies (N = 15,006), we provide the first direct tests of implicit dehumanization. We measured implicit associations between pairs of human social groups (Black-White, Asian-White, Latino/a-White) and the attributes animal and human. In each pairing, the attribute animal rather than human was more strongly associated to the categories Black, Asian, and Latino/a than to White.
