SYNOPSIS: Adopting theory and methods from avian bioacoustics, we examined non-human primate calls for evidence of structural acoustic features prevalent in human music (e.g. tone, interval, rhythm, repetition, transposition, and syllable count). Scores of utterance level features (those applicable at the smallest possible durations) were assessed by five people (see "scores.manual-NAME.tab" files below).
