Description: This repository contains the data, materials, and analysis associated with the study “CollabJam: Studying Collaborative Haptic Experience Design for On-Body Vibrotactile Patterns.” The research explores the challenges and opportunities of designing vibrotactile experiences collaboratively, particularly in remote scenarios where multisensory communication is vital. The study introduces and evaluates CollabJam, a collaborative prototyping suite that enables remote, synchronous design of on-body vibrotactile experiences. Materials in this repository include data from four design sessions with participant pairs and qualitative analyses of communication and design patterns during haptic experience creation. Key findings include insights into multisensory communication, the interplay of tactile stimulation and personal boundaries, and the benefits and challenges of freely placing actuators on the skin.
