Wiki Version:
This is all of the materials and measures for the experiment. The folder contains the following documents and subfolders: **FW_FullRecordPacket.pdf:** This is the printable PDF experimenters used to record the child's responses and any other relevant notes during the sessions. **FractionWarGame_FullGameScripts.pdf:** This is the full script of the game play training portion of the study, for all three conditions. Note that the condition names differ from those used in the manuscript (to facilitate transparency in the manusript, names were changed). Mapping = Actively Divided; Continuous = Non-Divided; Discrete = Pre-Divided **FWMeasures_FullProcedure.pdf:** This is the full script and procedure for pre- and post-test measures ***SubFolder* Card Games:** This contains the printable PDFs used to make the card game. The cards were printed on cardstock and cut out. The Game Board was printed, cut, and laminated. The Multipliers were printed on cardstock and cut, and then used as the removable "3" on the transition trial to introduce children to non-unit fractions (see manuscript for details). Stencils were created by modifying the actual card deck so that they could be printed and easily cut to create usable stencils. - **FractionCards_BlankEmpty_Active&Non-Divided.pdf** is for the empty rectangles that were used in the Actively Divided and Non-Divided conditions - **FractionCards_DiscreteEmpty_Pre-Divided.pdf** is for the already unit-divided rectangles that were used in the Pre-Divided condition **SubFolder Pre & Post Measures:** This folder contains the PsychoPy experiment programs, the stimuli, and the excel files used to control stim presentation. See README within the folder for more details.
