Description: It is already known that cannabis can be useful in several medical conditions in humans, such as pain relief, seizures, nausea and vomiting, anorexia, anxiety, among others. However, its use is still less explored in veterinary medicine. A preliminary search in the PROSPERO, OSF registries, and PubMed databases was carried out in August 2020 and scoping or systematic reviews on this topic were not found. Thus, the purpose of this systematic review is to summarize the evidence regarding efficacy and-or safety of cannabis in treatment of animal disease.
