## Overview of the Item Pool Files ## If you're curious to see the evolution of the item pool, the "Initial Item Pool..." Word file contains the initial item pool classified into item types. The remaining files are sortable HTML tables that show the item pool after the major winnowing points: 77 items, 51 items, 40 items, and the final 36 item scale. The tables show IRT parameters (alpha, beta, and the two thresholds) and a variable called "space", which is the distance between the thresholds. A negative value for "space" indicates disordered thresholds for that item. The HTML table for the final 36 item scale shows additional statistics that were included in the article.
