Wiki Version:
This study aims to test the predictions of attentional control theory sport. Theories of how pressure induces performance breakdowns in sport have outlined a number of mechanisms to describe how pressure and anxiety can impair skilled performance. But the way in which pressure leads to anxiety in the first place has received less attention. In two studies we aim to test how the occurrence of errors and attentional biases may lead to anxiety and performance errors.
