Description: A growing body of research has described how peer experiences in adolescence, especially negative ones, translate into psychological and health problems in adulthood. This paper extends this work by testing the assumptions that adolescents’ peer experiences also affect social adjustment, that is, how individuals tackle relationships with significant others in adolescence and beyond.
