Wiki Version:
Here is a guide I have been writing on how to create cognitive tasks in OpenSesame. It is aimed at absolute beginners and includes minimal code. There are current three tasks included: the Stroop task, Eriksen Flanker task, and a Go NoGo task with images. The images used in the third task are available in the stimuli folder. In this project are also a selection of cognitive tasks I have used in experiments or built for other people. They have been built using the excellent open source software [OpenSesame][1] or [PsychoPy][2]. Some of the tasks will work straight away, whilst others will not. For example, the Dot Probe and Anti-Saccade tasks in the PsychoPy folder are both designed to be used with an eye-tracker (Tobii TX300). Read the README files for how to remove the eye-tracking code and allow them to work (unless you want some eye-tracking code), although the Anti-Saccade task will be pretty pointless as it only measures eye-movements. In the spirit of the original software, feel free to adapt them to use in your own experiments! [1]: http://osdoc.cogsci.nl/ [2]: http://www.psychopy.org/
