Wiki Version:
After being primed with either friend- or family-related words, subjects rated how important it was for themselves and others to possess various traits. No effect of priming was found, but importance-for-self ratings were higher than importance-for-others for personality traits and religiousness/spirituality was more important when friends/family already possessed these traits.
